Leuna
Chemical park in transition
300 companies · 15 min. from Merseburg
We make the structural transformation physically tangible, in the heart of Merseburg. The TransitionLab bundles what would otherwise remain scattered, and translates complexity into encounter.
Sixty-two seconds that show what is taking shape here. The CLIA Passage as a place that brings the region together: citizens, industry, research, politics. A space where transformation is not explained, but experienced.
What is the CLIA model? Why Merseburg? How does transformation become a physical place at all? A compact audio essay that explains the idea behind the TransitionLab in seven minutes, for the road, over coffee, before the first call.
Change is already happening. The chemical industry in Leuna is transforming itself. New research institutes are being founded. The HOME region is growing. Renaturalization is reshaping entire landscapes.
Yet until now all of this happens out of sight, scattered across institutions, projects, and individual locations. No one sees the whole picture. The TransitionLab creates visibility.
Picture the TransitionLab as a Parabolic mirror . The diverse activities of the region, industry, research, politics, civil society, act like rays emerging from a surface.
At the TransitionLab they are bundled, made visible, and directed toward a shared direction. From there they unfold their impact back into the region.
A self-reinforcing cycle: the region delivers content. The TransitionLab translates it. Visitors arrive, understand, experience, and move further outward.
The TransitionLab is a low-threshold place. Here, people meet who would otherwise never come together.
Book a surface in the TransitionLab and become visible, for the region, for Germany, for Europe. Full peace of mind: you bring the content, we handle everything else.
Choose how many of the 6 side surfaces you would like to occupy as a screen, lightboard, or print. The other sides remain open for additional actors.
All prices apply per 1/6 cell, that is per side surface. Discounts from 3 surfaces upward.
An entire cell is deliberately reserved for social projects, initiatives, and associations. Free use via an application procedure. We believe: a place of transformation belongs not only to institutions, but also to civil society.
